Sewcialites 2 Week 13 and Slow Sunday Stitching

Happy Sunday evening everyone.  I hope you’ve had an enjoyable weekend.

I’m popping in to share Week 13's Sewcialites 2 block.  Innovate Block was designed by Doug Leko of Antler Quilt Design.  I saw posts all day on Thursday in the Sewcialites Lounge Facebook page and I admit, they had me a bit concerned and intimidated.

Friday night rolled around, and it was time for me to put my block together.  I took my time, measured each step and the block turned out to be the best one yet for me.

I had hoped to sew more Gene’s Flying Stars blocks on Saturday but house cleaning and food shopping took a lot longer than I anticipated.  These are on my list for next week, for sure.

Kathy’s Quilts hosts a Slow Sunday Stitching linky party and I decided to join today.

I completed quite a few stitches in this cross stitch piece while watching football and participating in a Zoom stitching group at the same time.

This is Red Bird Sampler by With Thy Needle.  I’m stitching it on 36 count linen, Patriot’s Brew by R&R Reproductions.

How was your weekend? What did you create? Tell me all the things.

Your block looks great - and your cross stitch is coming along nicely!
I was able to finish quilting my Noah's Ark baby quilt panel - so my weekend was pretty good - ;))

Beautiful block Jeanna! Love the design and colors, so pretty. Progress on the Red Bird too, beautiful cross-stitching. I did some stitching on 'Over the River' and made a few split star blocks.

Lovely work, Jeanna. My weekend was great. I got started on a baby quilt for an upcoming addition to my extended family. (the "adopted-in" side.) The top will probably be finished in a day or so.

Your Sewcialites block is so pretty! It does look a bit intimidating, but I imagine once you broke it down into its parts, it wasn't as bad as you expected. The Redbird Sampler is beautiful! Looks like you made great progress on it yesterday.

Your block turned out so awesome, you took your time and created a wonderful piece. And your stitching looks fantastic, I could never stitch on that little count!

I love that one! I think the Sew and Sews...one of then is working on this. they have a great podcast. Have you watched them? Your block turned out great. It does look complicated but you mastered it. You certainly got a lot done on your sampler. I love all the colors in it.
