Floss Friday—WiP Progress

This has been a busy week and I didn’t have a lot of time for stitching.  I did manage to make a little progress on the two old WiPs I shared last Friday.

First is the Red Bird Sampler

Last week’s starting point…

This week’s progress…

I finished the grass and started the middle arch next to the flower on the left

And this is Memorial Day

Last week’s starting point…

This week’s progress…

I frogged the mis-aligned words and finished the main stitching on the first flag

I’ll continue to work on these. We are making a quick driving trip to Florida early next week and I’m expecting a lot of stitching time in the car.

Hubby and I have been spending some time decluttering and purging so that is my plan for the weekend. We are supposed to get rain. Praying that we do because the western North Carolina fires have reached our county. It is so dry here and there is still a lot of debris from Hurricane Helene that hasn’t been removed yet. As you can imagine, it is fuel for the fire.

Enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you soon!

My progress on hand sewing the binding on my quilt was less than expected too. Other things have taken precedence. That’s Life.

I pray you do get rain. I can't remember where you are located, but western North Carolina does have a couple rainy days in the forecast. You've made great progress on red bird, and that Memorial Day piece is so, so cute.

I hope you get the much-needed rain.
You're fortunate that you can stitch away while in the car. I'd get so car sick!!!

I hope you do get rain, Jeanna. Your stitches look fabulous. I do need to start the Memorial Day piece soon. Have a safe trip this next week and enjoy the stitching time.

I'm sorry that N. Carolina is experiencing those fires - and for your area, too - coming while you're still getting things back to normal from the hurricane. Your projects are moving along - even if some of it is stitches that have to be taken out to get back on the right track. Have a safe trip to Florida!
