Hello, dear friends!
Since returning from Ft. Walton Beach, I've been playing catch up on housework and sewing. The housework part is boring so we'll skip right to the very little bit of sewing I've done.
Sewcialites 3, block 24 was released last Friday. Star Light Block by Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings.

This was not an enjoyable block to piece and it took me for - ever!
The last block will be released this Friday and then the finishing instructions next week. I'm looking forward to bringing this QAL to an end.

I still need to find two border fabrics for Fat Quarters by the Dozen. Then both 2026 QALs will be finished.
Sewing plans for the remainder of the week are to work on gifts for an upcoming cross-stitch retreat. I'll have a cross-stitch update on Friday.
I hope your week is off to a great start. I'll see you soon.

Even though it took forever, the block looks very, very cool.
Dear Jeanna, I absolutely love your talent! Lovely work, dear friend.
That block is beautiful, Jeanna! Love the fussy cut flowers.
Love your block. It took way longer than I counted on when I made mine. Not looking forward to this week's block in regards to making it but glad it is the last block. In agreement time to move on. :).
There is always a lot of catch up even when gone for just a short time. What an adorable block, Jeanna. I love the fussy cut flowers. The fabrics are magnificent. Let's just say I am drooling over the colors. LOL. Warm hugs
I hope you have a great week working on those gifts for the retreat!!
Well, you have made a great job of it even if you didn't enjoy! These blocks have all been so nice. x
The block does look good, but I can see where it might be difficult.
Still and all, the block turned out beautifully, Jeanna;))) Some blocks just give you a headache...but you did a great job...
Hugs, Julierose
That block is so adorable, sorry it gave your a hard time. Forget the housework and stitch away;)
Housework is necessary but oh so boring! Sewing is a much better activity IF you have the chance between the two! that is a great block with the fussy cuts bits. I hope you like the way the blocks are sewn together!
The block looks complicated but so pretty! I'm eager to see all your blocks in a quilt.
Thank you, Ivy. It was a "fiddly" one.
Thank you, sweet Linda. I appreciate your kind words and encouragement.
Thank you, Granny Marigold. I have to oil my (fairly) new machine for the first time. Hope I don't make a mess of it.
It's always nice to finish with blocks that have lots of little parts! This one is a beauty, even if it wasn't a fun one. I like how those flowers are fussy cut for the squares, too. I'll enjoy seeing how these blocks go together!
Great job on getting that difficult block done. I had a feeling that was a tricky block. I hope you'll be sewing this quilt together soon!
