Halloween Figs - Month 2 and FNwF

Happy Friday, Friends!

It’s been a little busy this week, mostly with work, but I’ve also had a little fun sewing and baking.

I posted here about the Halloween Figs Quilt by Fig Tree and Co.

This was a BOM hosted with the Fat Quarter Shop.  I collected the monthly pattern and kit but did not sew along with them.  I am sewing it now, on my own schedule ðŸ˜Š

These are Month 2 blocks…

Flying Geese Cross Block
12 1/2" x 12 1/2" (unfinished)

Crown Star Block
6 1/2" x 6 1/2" (unfinished)

I’m so grateful that Fat Quarter Shop provides plenty of extra fabric in their kits because I had to make this block twice!
Why, oh why, do the small blocks give me such a fit?!?

I’m also grateful for Cheryll at Gone Stitchin’ for continuing to host Friday Night with Friends (FNwF) the first Friday of each month.  I have everything prepped and ready for some quality time with my Janome tonight.

Here is a sneak peak…

My sweetie had an excellent annual physical on Thursday. I made homemade orange-cranberry scones to celebrate.

I’ve saved a few for my Friday night sewing snack 😊  Do you have a favorite snack while you are sewing or stitching?

Check back here, and at Cherylls, to see what we all got up to Friday.

And I hope you all have a nice weekend.

Very nice blocks--smaller blocks are difficult for me, too...at least i think they were--it's been awhile since I've sewed anything...hoping to get back to it in February...nice work hugs, Julierose

The smaller the block, and the more seams, it seems the more chance of "messing it up."

Congrats on your sweetie's good physical!

I don't eat while sewing - that is one of the pluses of sewing for me.

The blocks look great, even if they have to be made twice! 😉 Those scones do look yummy. Looks like you are ready for sewing tonight. It’s nice to be all prepped.

I can't resist some chocolate and coffee when I'm in the sewing room :)

Hope you got a lot done - and not too much more "re-making" blocks!

Those blocks are beautiful. You do such a nice job. I bought a Halloween kit from FQS but haven't started it yet. It's nice to know they give you plenty because I'm sure I'll mess up at some point! LOL!
I didn't realize FNWF's is the first Friday of the month so I guess I will be joining you in March. I'm so glad to catch up with you...you are motivating me! Thank you!

I don't have a favorite sewing snack but those scones sound yummy! Love the FQS blocks, the colors are sweet. Bless the quilt stores that provide enough fabrics in their kits for whoopsies!
