Floss Friday -- Cross Stitch Progress, More Fall and A Little Halloween

How has everyone's week been? Were you creative in any way? I'd love to know.

I did a little cross stitching on Merry Bouquet. Here is where I am as of Thursday evening.

This is a fun little stitch and I hope to have a finish soon.

A Bit of Fall Decor and Baking

Hello, dear friends.

Our daughter, her boyfriend and their fur baby were visiting last week. We  enjoyed walks around the lake, a couple of trail hikes, lots of eating and relaxing. The week passed way too quickly and we were sad to see them go. But, we will see them in Florida next month and then they will be here for Christmas.

While I didn't get around to stitching or sewing, I did put out a few Fall decorations.

The kids always request their favorite desserts when they are home, and I am happy to oblige.

First was my husband's Aunt Sarah's chocolate cake.

Last, but not least, a cinnamon roll banana bread.
                                           

Everyone is back to normal routines this week and exercising a bit harder.

Floss Friday -- Cross Stitch Progress and A Little Bit of Spring

Happy Friday, Friends!

It has been busy here at the house on the ridge. Getting into more organization and spring cleaning has taken up much of my time. I do have some good progress to share on Salute to Abigail.

Linen is so hard to photograph at night!

I’m excited anxious to see if the border matches up so I’m going to continue with the vine and leaves to see.

I decided not to pull out all the Easter and Spring décor, but I do have a fair amount to share.

but I did place a little spring on top.

I shared earlier in the week that Hubby and I had gone to Sylva, NC over the weekend to do some antiquing. There is a road we’ve passed several times while traveling in that direction and I’ve always wanted to stop and take a photo. Well, I had the opportunity last weekend…

I think I should live on this road, don’t you?
