Our trip to Florida was productive, but not in a “crafty” way. We helped our daughter and her family get settled into their new home. I explored their neighborhood and was able to get in a few long walks while we were there.
Since we’ve been home, I’ve been catching up on the quilt alongs hosted by Fat Quarter Shop.
Sewcialites 3 block #8 is Beacon Block designed by Amy Smart from Diary of A Quilter…
Sewcialites 3 block #9 is Daylight Block designed by Corey Yoder from Coriander Quilts…
As a reminder, I am stitching
the Sewcialites 6” blocks using Lyda Rose by Bunny Hill Designs
The next block is the
Fireflies Block from Fat Quarters by the Dozen.
I’m making these blocks
from various lines of Lori Holt fabric.
I have a few cross stitch projects to share on Friday. I hope to see you then…
Hugs,

Glad your Florida time was productive and welcome back! And look at you catching up on you FQS blocks right away….love the look of the second block pictured :) wouldn’t it make a cool quilt all on its own?
Nice work. I really like that firefly block. Several of those scattered on a plain background would make a lovely modern quilt.
That firefly block looks interesting! Glad your Florida trip went well. Happy homecoming!
Where did your daughter move to in Florida? I'm obsessed with the firefly block, I'll have to check out the pattern.
I haven't been reading or blogging in the last couple weeks, been out boondocking so I will catch up with a few while DH is driving. Love your blocks as they are making me yearn for my sewing!!
Hello and happy day, my friend Jeanne. I'm so happy to see you on my blog and to visit yours, because the patchwork projects you do are so beautiful. I love the fabrics you chose for these blocks, and I'm sure the final result will be wonderful! I'll definitely be there to see it finished. A warm hug from your new Cuban friend.

Your blocks are really looking lovely, Jeanna;))) Nice that you had a good visit and helped your daughter to settle in. My Granddaughter just moved back in with my daughter--she has gotten a job back here and started today--hope it goes well for her and that she can begin to settle in...it's so hard these days to find meaningful work...we've been concerned about her....
Now the last of my daughter's four is graduating next month and is looking for work...and on it goes...hugs, Julierose
I am so glad that all went well while getting your daughter settled into her new home, Jeanna. You have been one busy bee . Your blocks look amazing! Enjoy your day. Hugs.
Beautiful work, dear friend.
So glad you got to help your daughter settle into her new place. Your blocks are looking great! Isn't it so nice to catch up? I'm looking forward to your cross stitch projects!
Someone who quilts and someone who gardens...both have always got something on the go!! I like your projects and wish I had learned to quilt.
Beautiful blocks, Jeanna. I like the Firefly block too. Glad you had a nice trip to FL.
Glad you had a good trip to Florida - I bet your daughter really appreciated your help! The Sewcialites blocks are so pretty. Lovely colors! And I love the Fireworks block, too - it's got lots of possibilities!
Glad you had a good trip - you have made some nice catch up blocks. xx
Thank you, Linda
Thank you, GM. And, I wish I could garden!
I'm glad it wasn't all work in Florida! very pretty blocks you have created.
Helping family settle into a new home is a project all its own, and getting those long walks in is the perfect way to clear your mind before diving back into your craft room.
Wonderful blocks! I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your work with them. I hope I'll find a way to join a quilt-along sometime... so far I've only participated in knitting-alongs.
Best regards, Viola
