Fat Quarter Shop published
release number 6 of the Fat Quarters by the Dozen quilt along on April 1st.
Composition block is another big one measuring 17” square.
It was super simple to construct but I’m not sure I’d like to have a whole quilt of these blocks.
FQS also released block 7 of the Sewcialites 3 quilt along. Flower Block was designed by Elizabeth Harman.
I think it is so cute.
I’ll have some make up
sewing to do when I return from Florida. Two Sewcialites blocks and one FQBTD block
will be released while I am away.
I’m taking some
cross-stitch with me but I’m not sure how much time I’ll have to stitch.

I think the Composition block made with a black or navy background and jewel tones would be lovely. Have a good trip.
The Composition block is pretty big and I agree with you about not wanting a whole quilt made from it. Have a fabulous trip and safe travels!

The Composition block is an interesting one and I like the center that forms on the big quilt they show. But it's not my favorite of the different FQBTD blocks you've made! The flower block for Sewcialites is a pretty one, though. Your fabrics are so sweet! Have a great trip - hope it is full of fun!

Too much blank space on the Composition quilt for me - looks very modern and I prefer a busier traditional look. The flower is pretty. Have a good trip. xx
Happy travels - I think the Composition block quilt would be OK with some detailed quilting ...but that doesn't happen here, so its a no from me too.

These blocks need to harmonize with the fabric... I wouldn't use white as a background.
