Quilt Progress -- Sewcialites 3 and Fat Quarters by the Dozen

Happy Friday and Happy Spring, Friends!

No Floss Friday this week. My Monday's post was cross-stitch related so I’m showing my quilt progress today.

Sewcialites 3 block 4 was released last Friday and is designed my Minki Kim.  It is called Spring Wind Block.

It was another easy one and fun to make. A new block will be released today.

Release number 5 of the Fat Quarters by the Dozen quilt along was released last Sunday. The block is called Clover.

It doesn't look like it buy there were a lot of pieces in this one. It measures 18 ½” square.

The next FQBTD release will be April 1st.

Not that I don’t have enough going on, I’m going to start another quilt in honor of America’s Semiquincentennial.

Spacious Skies Quilt featuring Lori Holt’s Americana fabric line. I’m just beginning to read through the pattern and will make a test block with some scraps first.

Hubby and I plan to check out some antique shops on Saturday and I need to prune my hydrangeas on Sunday. I'll need to that early so I can Zoom stitch in the afternoon.

That’s it for today. Do you have plans for the first weekend of Spring? If so, do tell!

See you soon,

We always kick off Spring with a dinner for my brother's birthday. He was born on the equinox.

The Sewcialite block looks pretty, I really like the blocks so far. I have a pattern in mind and the beginnings of a pull for the 250th birthday quilt. Have fun shopping!

Oops, hit publish too soon…..I’m making a quilt for the semiquincentennial, too, but am using fabric from my stash. I’ll prolly start in May.

Loving that Spring wind block--so pretty and evocative--nice work on these blocks...still pretty cold here--only 32 this morning--but sunny --now if the warmer weather can catch up to the meterological calendar!! hugs, Julierose

Two beautiful blocks, Jeanna! I especially love the FQBTD block - it's another one that would make a beautiful quilt all on its own. We're having summer-y weather out here. Time to clean off the deck and get the lawn chairs out!

What great blocks! Yes, Clover has a lot of pieces! This weekend, I'll be working on getting back into the Pacific time zone from Greenwich Mean time. Maybe there will even been some quilting!

Those two blocks are beautiful, Jeanna. Love the designs and fabric you have chosen. Spacious Skies is beautiful. I've seen the Americana fabrics, they are so pretty.
