Hello, Friends!
I hope you are doing
well and those in the US are safe from the terrible storms that have
passed through in recent days.
I mentioned in last week’s
post that we were taking a trip on Friday. We went to Florida to surprise our
baby girl for her 30th birthday. She was so excited because we had
just been there three weeks prior and she didn’t expect to see us again so
soon. No photos as we just enjoyed being in the moment.
This trip gave me an opportunity
to pick up the five quilts I left with the long-arm quilter last month. So now, there are nine quilts that need to be
bound.
I have plans to start on those this weekend. It is a long weekend here in the United States, so I expect to get at least a couple done. I can’t wait to show you each one as they cross the finish line.
Progress was made on the Halloween
Figs quilt. Here are blocks for month
five…
Month 6 will include appliqued, as well as pieced blocks. My plan for now is to just make the pieced ones.
It is definitely spring
here. These fellas visited us yesterday. They were just babies a few weeks ago.
I’ll be back on Friday to share progress on a couple of cross stitch projects.
Joining these linky
parties because they are chock full of inspiration.

See you soon!

If I had all those quilts to bind, I am afraid everything else would be ignored.
How sweet you surprised your daughter! Our son is turning 55 today, can't believe it. Good luck on binding! Are those turkeys?
Ohhhh What a lovely stack of quilts!! can't wait to see each one! and yay for a fun visit back !
I love all the quilts! Your blog background is beautiful and how lovely to have the turkeys come for a visit! Would you believe that we have had some turkeys come here to Montreal? Yes indeed! I have seen three (not together and not in the same place). I saw one in front of our metro subway entrance, another in the parking lot corner of a shopping center and the other on the front lawn of a college campus! :)
Happy birthday to your girl! Our baby is 40 - so hard to believe. I love that pile of quilts to be bound - looking forward to seeing those finishes!
Happy birthday to your daughter! I enjoy binding quilts. I feel it's the last step until they're all finished. We're getting a Nor'Easter tomorrow and Friday. It's been cold here all week. I'm still waiting for Summer!
How lovely to surprise your daughter for her birthday. And convenient that you could pick up your beautiful quilts!!
Do you bind by hand or all by machine? Wishing you lots of binding time over the weekend.
I hope you get a bunch of quilts bound over this long weekend. They look so pretty folded and stacked there. Thanks for sharing on my weekly show and tell, Wednesday Wait Loss.
