Hello and welcome to the last week of October!
The past week was fairly
productive for me. I was able to sew the final block I needed for Scrappiness Is
Happiness, and I assembled the rows.
I’ll make and attach the borders this week. I do not have a design wall so I stripped the guest bed and placed the top there to get a photo.
My cross stitch finish was
the Autumn trio for Well Rounded by Hands on Design.
I have all the supplies I
need to fully finish these into rounds.
One evening I made a couple of loaves of pumpkin bread.
I topped them with the same whipped cream cheese frosting I previously used on the banana cake.
Finally, we celebrated my Mom’s 81st birthday on Saturday night. We took her to a nice restaurant downtown.
She enjoyed a trout and potato dish, as well as the chocolate bread pudding with cherry topping.
My plans for this week:
- Make and attach the borders on Scrappiness Is Happiness
- Fully finish Give Thanks
- Fully finish Well Rounded - Autumn
- Start the Witching Hour Stitch Along
I’m
also going to try a new cleaning routine…we’ll see how that goes 😊
Hope
you have a great week.

I don’t have a design wall either. I frequently use the bed as a design area.
Scrappiness is Happiness turned out beautifully!! That pumpkin bread looks delish with that cream cheese frosting--yum!!
It got much colder overnight here; 34 this morning but no frost on the pumpkin as yet!! Hugs for a super week Julierose
I still maintain your Mom does not look her age - she is so pretty. Your scrappy quilt looks great, and the Autumn trio is adorable.
Happy birthday to your mom! Good work on your Lori Holt quilt, you did have a productive week:)
I like all your projects completed or otherwise. ( That includes the delicious-looking banana cake).
I'm curious about your cleaning routine; anything to make keeping the house tidy💗
Belated birthday wishes for your Mom.
Scrapping is Happiness is delightful! And so are your sweet little round cross-stitch designs. Happy Birthday to your mom! The pumpkin bread looks yummy.
Great picture of your Mum and the chocolate pudding sounds delicious! Scrappiness is looking great _ I have to use the bed too, no space for a design wall here! Oh the little picture of a house and birds is just delightful. Enjoy your week. xx
Hi Jeanna, Thanks for stopping by my blog and taking the time to leave a comment so I could find my way over here. What a beautiful quilt you have made. I love the colors. Your pumpkin bread looks absolutely delicious.
Enjoy your busy week!
Love your quilt top! You really got a lot done this week. Your pumpkin bread looks delicious. My husband just bought apple caramel bread. I have to try to make some. Happy birthday to your mom!!
Happy (belated) Birthday to your mum. So many tempting cross stitch patterns you show,,,,keeping my eyes shut! The quilt top looks great...Happy cooking ...cleaning is no fun.
What a beautiful quilt...great job. Yes, such a design wall wouldn't be bad, but there has to be space for it :-) right? Unfortunately I don't have one either.
Your embroidery is amazing... and I like baked goods... there's an apple pie in my oven right now. Many greetings from Viola
p.s. Happy Birthday to your mum - all good wishes.
Oh, the apple pie sounds delicious. Thank you for my Mom's birthday wishes. Enjoy your day!
