F.N.S.I. and A Start to Finish

Happy Friday Friends!

I am happy to report that my dislocated/relocated finger is going to physical therapy twice a week and so far…so good. I’m still enjoying cross stitching but am at a stand still with quilting right now. It isn’t comfortable to use the rotary cutter for long periods of time. I am getting there.

I’m sharing a new cross stitch pattern that I started on National Friendship Day to join in on the hashtag #SweetFriendshipsSAL hosted by my friend @fancystitcher on Instagram.

We started Sweet Friendships on August 4th and I put the last stitch in last night, Thursday, August 15th.

Chart:       Sweet Friendships designed by The Proper Stitcher

Fabric:      32 count linen, Friendship Greene by Fabrics by Stephanie

Threads:  My own conversion. I’m happy to email this to anyone who is interested.

Stitched:  2 threads of floss over 2 linen threads

The fabric is a really pretty green.

I haven't figured out how to get an accurate photo...yet.

I will be working on fully finishing this piece while joining Wendy

at Sugarlane Designs for Friday Night Sew In.

Visit Wendy over the weekend to see what everyone got up to.

In the meantime, I hope you have a great weekend.

See you soon!

It is good to hear that you are doing the PT. Some people just ignore it and never get back to full use of whatever part was affected.

What a pretty piece! Love those little strawberries. Glad your finger is better.
I haven't actually done a stitch yet on my Olga's stocking (that I am copying from you), but I do have a post ready. I might try to go ahead and do a few stitches and photograph it before I post though.

Happy to hear that your finger is getting better each day, Jeanna. Rotary cutting is hard on hands, wrists, and shoulders, too; at least for me it is...be sure to get enough rest before you venture back into using it...lovely sampler and saying....
hugs for a good weekend--Julierose

I didn't know you hurt your finger! Ouch! I just cut my thumb and boy do hand injuries impede progress! I hope you are on the mend.
I love the friendship piece...so pretty! I like you vintage circle tag? Floss holder? I love those accessories. Where do you get them?
forgot about FNSI....maybe I can get out there tomorrow and post and catch up with everyone. As always, thanks for the reminder! Have a great weekend!

Glad your finger is getting some help, and that you can still stitch! The friendships piece is lovely. When I saw your post on Instagram, I immediately thought I would love to stitch it for a friend. But I have never used linen for cross-stitch. How much of a challenge is that for older eyes?!

It sounds like your finger is getting better. Glad to hear it! I love your friendship piece. I've never used linen for cross stitching. I'm going to give it a try one of these days.

Good to hear you are improving - isn't it good that we can pick from a range of hobbies??? LOL
