Last Week’s Finishes

Plaid Farmhouse Quilt designed by Stitching with the Housewives.

I finished piecing the top early last week but then it rained for almost 3 days straight.  The breeze off the lake made it difficult to get a decent photo.

The backing is the black/white plaid, same as the outer border.  It's ready to go to the long-armer.

I have several quilts ready for long-arming but it won’t happen until after the first of the year.  The person I use is fully booked with holiday quilts, which is completely understandable.

I also finished stitching November’s Calendar Crates, designed by Stitching with the Housewives.

This hangs in my Mom’s foyer.

I’m ready for some Christmas stitching and I also need to plan the remainder of my year.  It will be time to look ahead to 2022 before we know it.

Hope everyone is having a great week.  I'm off to catch up with blog reading...I'm a few days behind.

See you soon,

Your quilt top is pretty - I like the red/white/gray/black color combination - and the pinwheels/flying geese provide such movement! Your cross-stitch projects are always fun to see - thanks for sharing - ;))

The Farmhouse quilt turned out great - the "on-point" gingham border is too cute! Fresh Cranberries is adorable, too. Doesn't make me want to pick up x-stitch again, but I love seeing what ~you~ make!

Beautiful finish and I love those x=stitcheries--I wish I could learn counted x-stitch; right now struggling with pre-printed x-stitch...what count fabric are those blackboard ones--they are my favorites...

Love those plaids in the pinwheels. The border fabric looks great on point. Fun stitching. It's always good to have a plan, but you know how that sometimes works. LOL

It turned out darling!!! I didn't know you were a quilter until your last post. I had to put mine down as I am busy making Christmas gifts but hopefully after the holidays I will be able to get back at it! Your cross stitch is impeccable per usual and your finishing is so pretty. I'm sure your Mother loved it! I'm retired and I don't get as much done as you! LOL! Enjoy your week!

That is a nice quilt top. I agree with someone else who said something like "I love seeing your cross stitch, but it doesn't make me want to do it again."
