Fat Quarters by the Dozen -- Release 2 -- Bluebonnets Block

Fat Quarter Shop released the second block for their Fat Quarters by the Dozen Quilt Along. This is the Bluebonnets block.

I am trying to use all Lori Holt fabrics.  This block has pieces from her Home Grown and Gentler Times collections.

I think a whole quilt of these blocks would be so pretty.

Release 1 and 2 together…

It started snowing Friday night, just as we were leaving Ice Fest. I’ll share Ice Fest photos on Wednesday. There are so many!

It continued to snow all day on Saturday and into the night. It didn’t keep me from putting on boots and getting in some steps.

I even made a snow angel. I know, I’m not 10 any more…

I hope you had a nice weekend and I’ll see you soon.

Snow Angel fun ;))) Why not, I say???
Cute little block #2 you've finished. Jeanna-nice sewing on this one...Looks like a fun SAL...you have a great start!!
We still have dense frozen snow here and with these low temps I don't think it will be melting anytime soon...
So far, our new thermostat seems to be working fine--it comes set up for a 5-day work week for some reason!! So Tom has to figure out how to program the weekends...you'd think it would be easy, right? Not so fast, my friend...;(((
Hugs, Julierose

That was one beautiful snow angel! I'm glad your 10 year old self still hangs out with you! That bluebonnet block is cool looking. A field of those in a quilt would be pretty!

Nice amount of snow! My hubby made a snow angel with the storm we had right after Turkey day:0

I've read and seen photos of your heavy snow, it's amazing! We watch On Patrol Live, and the officers were patrolling in such big, thick flakes and cold. You did good to get out and tramp around in it. It's beautiful!

How great that you went walking in spite of the snow. AND you even made a snow angel ( something I confess I've never done). Now I think I'm past it lol. I'd need help just getting up again :)

Your snow looks beautiful, and I'm glad you were able to get out and have fun in it! It looks like you avoided the nasty ice that many places got. That's a really pretty block, too - I like the whole quilt you showed of it! Do you know what your final sampler design will look like?
