The Florida Trip and A Weekend at Home

Florida was our last trip for 2025. Hubby got a good report from his dermatologist, and he doesn’t have to go back until next April. I worked from my daughter’s house during the week and then my best friend joined us on the ride back to North Carolina.

I only have a few photos because we were enjoying our time together. It was a quick trip for her; she just spent the weekend.

We did some shopping and ate at a couple of our favorite restaurants. Most of our time was spent working on Christmas projects.

My friend used the main machine to make paper pieced snowflakes for a runner.

She will finish the runner at home.

I broke out my little Pfaff to make small primitive trees using wovens.

These will go in a dough bowl, along with one more that I have yet to make.

Today is food shopping day. I hope to get everything I need for this week, as well as for Thanksgiving. This year seems to be passing so quickly. Do you feel the same?

Hope you have a great day. I’ll see you soon!

The little trees are so cute. Glad you had some time with your friend. We have been to the store for our T-giving supplies and have one more trip to go, for last minute things. And yes, November is zooming by and we have had very few days of cold weather. But that is to change next week - yay!

Your trip to Florida sounds like it was good, and even better to have your friend come home with you for some hang-out time. Her snowflakes are gorgeous! Tell her we need to see a photo of the finished runner. Love those little trees you made, too. I need to get myself organized for Thanksgiving, too. The hard part is that there are other days in the week that need meals, too!

How fun to spend time together "making" with a friend! Her snowflake blocks will make a beautiful table runner. Those primitive trees are cuties!

Good news re your husband's tests. The little Christmas trees are so cute. They will look perfect in a dough bowl ( or anywhere else, for that matter).
