Hi Friends and Happy Friday!
In today’s Floss Friday update, I have some WIP progress and older finishes to share.
First, this is my progress on November’s assignment for American Sampler by Crocette a gogo’…
I need to finish the flags and start on that monster of a house.I completed November’s assignment on Salute to Abigail by Blackbird Designs. This is a quick and fun stitch.
I mentioned in my last post that I have stitched everything from the Sweet Land of Liberty book except Salute to Abigail. That is not correct. There is one chart, Liberty Rose, that I have not and will not stitch. It is in two parts, stitched on two different fabrics which need to be sewn together. Here are the other projects from the book that I have fully finished…
In Full Glory, finished into a pillow.
There won’t be a quilt update next week because, you won’t believe it, but we are going on another road trip tomorrow….to Florida. Hubby has a follow up with the dermatologist and we are going to spend some time with the kids. We are bringing my best friend back to NC when we return home. She’ll spend a few days with us before flying back to Florida.
The weather calls for snow next week, so I guess it is a good time to head south for a few days.

Enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you soon!

You stitching is looking good, as always. Happy Friday!
Beautiful stitching and so much progress made. . .good for you! Enjoy the trip and the visit with your friend!
You're making such good progress on the American Sampler and on Salute to Abigail! I really like your floss colors for Abigail. You do have to wonder why they would have you stitch that one design on two different pieces of fabric and sew them together. Is it a traditional thing? Safe travels - good idea to get away from the snow!
Beautiful stitching, Jeanna!
Love your stitching projects, finished and unfinished. The small pillows are so cute. Great progress on the American Sampler and Salute. I have some to finish too, but have to finish a wall hanging (quilt) for a friend before anything else. Safe travel and enjoy the Florida sun.
Your stitching projects look great! I've never seen a cross stitch project worked on 2 different fabrics that are then stitched together. Is there a reason to do that?? Have fun in Florida!
You have some lovely finished projects there and your WIPs are looking good. Happy and safe travels. xx
No not snow already! You made me look at my forecast, yikes they say we cold get some flakes today!!
Your stitching is so beautiful and inspiring to me! You'll be surprised to know I've been stitching on Hello Autumn and don't have that much left. However, I did it on 14ct Aida, and I only used 4 strands of floss, so you can see the cloth through it - I should have used 6 strands. But it still looks good, and I hope to finish this weekend. Have a safe and fun trip!
Sounds like a perfect time to get out of Dodge! That project where it’s done one two fabrics that are sewn together is kind of weird, lol. Have a good trip!
No doubt you're away on your trip now. I hope all is going very well.
