Floss Friday – American Sampler Progress

Hello, Friends!

Here we are at the Friday before Thanksgiving in the United States of America. I managed to get my weekly food shopping done on Tuesday, and I got everything we need for Thanksgiving dinner except a couple of last-minute items.

My stitching time this week was dedicated to American Sampler by Crocette a gogo’.

The house is taking a lot of time, but I am enjoying the project.

Fingers crossed I can finish November’s assignment soon.

I am itching to stitch some Christmas…just need more time in the day. Our sweet friend, Melisa, at Punker N Punkin Quilting blog has created some adorable embroidered Christmas designs. I would love to make some…again, need more time in the day!

In addition to finishing November’s assignment on American Sampler, I need to complete the self-imposed assignment on another cross-stitch project. Next Friday will tell how successful (or not!) I am.

Stitching will be set aside today because I want to bind another quilt. This will be #8 of 9.  I noticed that I still need fabric for #9…ugh!

I’ve started thinking about what I want to accomplish in 2026. Again…need more time in the day!

I hope you have a great weekend. What are your plans? Anything more fun than cleaning and organizing a garage???

See you soon,

No great plans for me. I should clean and reorganize my shed, but I don't see that happening either. LOL

More time in the day would be nice! Haha we organized the garage last week. This weekend will be spent dusting those places that never get dusted in time for company next Thursday - and they will never even look at what we've dusted - lol!

So true we all need more time in a day and energy to go with it. It's a zoo around here right now, a little of this and a little of that!

This chart is magnificent! Yes, houses tend to take a lot of full coverage and not my favourite to stitch though I love them in charts. I love the pops of colour in this one. Happy Stitching!

That house is looking amazing! Cleaning/organizing the garage when finished will be awesome. . .the doing part likely not so much! I hope to be working on clue one for the Bonnie Hunter mystery.

Oh, Jeanna your sampler is looking amazing. So many fun motifs in this sampler and such a grand house. Love it! Aah thank you so much for the sweet shout out . Gosh , we do need more hours in the day or more hands to get all of the things done that we want to accomplish. Right? LOL I hope the clean out of the garage goes well so you can back to working on your quilts and stitching. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs.

That's a beautiful sampler, Jeanna! I love all the flowers in it. We won't be cleaning the garage here this weekend - too cold for that - but probably will be doing some inside work just to have the house ready for Thanksgiving!

I always seem to run out of time too! I love that American Sampler. There are so many cute details in it. I still have to buy Thanksgiving supplies. It's so hard to get it all in one trip!

Your sampler is coming along nicely!
We'll be working on getting the house decorated for Christmas. Our Canadian Thanksgiving is so much earlier that we have more time to decorate I think.
