I know I said I wasn't going to post my SAHRR update until Friday but construction has ended and now cleaning begins. I didn't want to fall behind on this fun event so I worked ahead of my own schedule.
This is the next to last border for the Stay At Home Round Robin project. I was so excited when this week’s prompt from Brenda at Songbird Designs was some version of a log cabin block. Log cabin blocks are one of my favorites to make.
I decided to make quarter log cabin blocks and place them at the corners of my little quilt. Depending on what next week’s prompt is, I may have to make more. There will likely be another coping border made with the red fabric.
Since my blocks measure 3 ½”
unfinished, I pressed my seams open. For some reason, my tiny blocks are more
accurate when I do this.
The last log cabin quilt I made was a gift to my Mama for her 80th birthday in 2023. She is still enjoying it today.
I'm linking up at Brenda's for this week's SAHRR assignment.
Have a great weekend!

I remember the lovely picture of your Mother with her quilt, gorgeous log cabin. Looking forward to next week and seeing how you finish off your border. Meanwhile happy cleaning!! xx
Your SAHRR is looking so good!!! The log cabin for your mom is beautiful! Funny how the colors change in the different lighting. It is so beautiful in those blues with the bit of yellow, which is one of my favorite color combinations!
I am really excited to see the next prompt for the SAHRR. I hope (for both of us) that it works well to fill in the areas between this round.
Your SAHRR is looking very pretty Jeanna! That log cabin quilt you made for your Mom is beautiful.
You are doing an amazing job on this!
I really love where your SAHRR quilt is going. The quarter log cabins will look great as corner blocks. Aaah your mom's quilt is gorgeous and is a big one. Love it. Have a great day, Jeanna. Hugs.
Those added 1/4 log cabins are so perfect in the corners, Jeanna;))
This will be such a pretty piece. Your Mom's quilt is just beautiful...
There is just something so comforting about the log cabin pattern (not mine especially on "Dark Days though!! Am a bit underwhlemed with it--but it is a learning piece )
hugs Julierose
