Today I am
sharing my progress on the Stay At Home Round Robin project (SAHRR). Gail at quiltinggail.com
is hosting but this week’s prompt was given to us from Kathleen at Kathleen
McMusing.
I previously shared my
center block here.
Kathleen’s challenge for
us this week was to incorporate a King’s Crown block into our first border. Or
we could select any block whose name began with the initial of our first name.
I stayed with the King’s Crown block.
My center block has been cut down to 10 ½” x 12”
I decided to add 3 1/2” (unfinished) King’s Crown blocks to each corner.
I plan to add strips of
coordinating fabric to connect the corner blocks to the center but want to see
what next week’s prompt is first. I’m hoping to keep this small but who knows…
I’ve never done anything
like this before, but I think it is a good challenge. I’m sure I will learn
something along the way.
I’m behind on the Witching
Hour SAL and will work to catch up over the next few days.

I need to get my first round sewn. I haven't really decided on which block yet. I like your idea for this.
Your tiny blocks are perfect for that pretty center block. Thanks for the tip on the glue!
Really nice choice for your corners--i find doing a "medalllion style" where you have to add borders VERY challenging.
Good idea to wait for the next prompt...
I totally failed at BB1 SAL on[ Audrey's site ("Quilty Folks")] last year. Now I am working on my Comfort Cloth (yr long SAL) and I finally got the pieces pinned around this past week...phew--too many choices...today I hope to sew them to the backing piece...

Those blocks are perfect for your SAHRR start, Jeanna! I often make a few blocks that go with the prompt and wait and see what happens next before sewing anything together. I had to use some glue on my tiny Dresdens, too. I haven't tried your product, will have to look for it!
I would probably wait until all the prompts were in if I ever did a SAHRR, to much of a control freak perhaps, LOL.
Your plan is looking beautiful. I have not tried the seam glue, but it sounds helpful.

I find the glue works really well on the tiny pieces. It doesn’t take much.

Pretty corner blocks for your SAHRR. Good idea to wait for the next or all prompts before sewing it together. Love the centre.
I love your choice for the corner blocks. So small! I think it's smart to wait for the clue. You'll make better choices.
That fabric glue sounds like a great help for keeping tiny scraps in place. >💗💗💗💗
Gosh...that is a bit tiny! ...I've never tried glue to hold fabric...mmm.will give it a go!
