It's Fall Y'all

This is how we know it is fall here in SoFlo

I break out the fall projects

I will be hand stitching these creepy creatures during football games today.  It is a Buttermilk Basin design, Basin Banners thru the Year – October.

I first saw these designs at Karen's, Log Cabin Quilter. She has made several of these.  Her applique’ is perfect!

My next project will be to stitch the faces on these sweet manatees.  This is a from Boutique 4 Quilters, a great shop in West Melbourne, FL.  It is their row for the 2015 Florida Row by Row Experience.

Visit Kathy’s Quilts to see what everyone else is doing for Slow Sunday Stitching.

Enjoy your Sunday.

I think you will be stitching fun spooky creatures this afternoon. Looks like wool felt that you shall be appliquing.

Love the banner! When I lived in San Diego, we only knew the seasons by decor. I sure like living some place where the seasons are seen in the scenery.

I too, pull out the fall quilts to make it 'feel' like fall in central Florida. I've got my pumpkin partylite candle holders on display today with some lovely pumpkin scent candles burning (yes....the AC is on ) Lovely row by row... I wonder if I have that one. I got 5 or 6 from in that area while on vacation last month.

I used to live in Naples, FL and missed the change of seasons like in the midwest so moved back. Looks like you have found a great way to enjoy the change of seasons with your stitching. Those are fun Halloween banners. Now...as for SWEET manatees....jury is out on them being SWEET! I'll have to wait and see when you have finished the stitching!

Pretty stitched pieces. I imagine it is kind of hard to feel "Fall" in Florida. LOL

Ditto - the fall-themed projects at least let us daydream about cooler temperatures!

See I told you I checked it out, now you say the manatees are a row by row. How many others are there, are you going to do them as well? These would be sweet in a bathroom.

We've had a little cooler temps, but it's been hot again recently! So ready for cooler days. Love the banner and those manatees are going to be so stinkin' cute! I love manatees...such neat creatures. My daughter swam with them in Girl Scouts years ago. Sweet memories. Hope you are doing well!
