Happy Sunday Everyone!!!
Today is Slow Sunday Stitching at Kathy’s Quilts
and I am very happy to report that I am continuing with my Birdie Stitches
blocks and participation over at Kathy’s linky party.
This is the block I completed last Sunday
August
This is the block I am working on today
September
I absolutely love Pilot's Frixion pens for tracing
my pattern. I can mark over and make
adjustments as necessary then simply remove the markings with the heat from an
iron when I am finished.

A couple months ago my cousin asked me to knit her
daughter a Yoda hat. I had never
even heard of such a thing but I found a pattern on the internet and was surprised
at how easy it worked up.
My cousin never sent me a picture of her daughter wearing hers but I posted a picture of the hat alone on Facebook and my son’s friend in the
Navy asked for one for her son, which also happens to be my Sailor’s Godson. Did
you follow all of that?
Well, my son sent me a photo of the two of them
My son is such a funny guy
And then the baby’s mom sent me another one
I would have to say that cutie pie makes any hat
look good.

I also promised to share some gifts I made for
Christmas, so here they are…
Tissue covers in patriotic fabric for the group of ladies at work that knits helmet liners for the soldiers.
I made several of these cosmetic bags. They are a Pickle Pie Design made in the embroidery unit of my Brother Quattro 3.
I love Pickle Pie Designs because all of her linings have finished seams...no raw seams inside at all.
I also made the Pickle Pie cross body bag. These stitch out pretty quickly and are a nice size.
Now I think we are all caught up so I'm going to sink into a comfy chair, watch football and stitch this Sunday away.
Have a blessed week, my friends.

I remember when those birds came out on the internet. They are cute. Good way to spend your Sunday.
Cute hat on your cutie pie grandchild.
You made some wonderful gifts.
I like to use the Frixion pens for the embroidery work too. Nice to be able to just iron the markings away.
Your birdie blocks are coming right along. As for that hat, too cute!
BUST out laughing at your son and the baby pic
You are one heck of a knitter!

Oh Jeanna, I LOVE the square you have completed and the one you are working on - too cute!
You are very gifted, my friend. You create such beautiful items. Hugs!
I have decided to do the Birdie quilt but probably work on one per month. I need to check that link out. Are the Frixion pens something special for sewing and embroidery? I have heard of them befor ebut I though they were just regular pens. Let me know and I will order some from AMazon. Love all the gifts you made but those quilted bags are so pretty! You do such beautiful work. Have a great week!
LOVE the knitted Yoda hat! That is so funny.
Wow, you've been busy! All ready for next Friday? :)
You certainly made some lovely gifts. I do love those little birds too and those cute little Yoda hats brought a smile to my face. Happy Stitching!
Adorable birdies and I love the baby yodas, and the silly sailor son too. Pretty fabric for your bag. I just don't understand why anyone would publish patterns with raw seams! :o)
Those embroidered blocks are adorable!
LOVE the Yoda hat! Really darling!
Lucky recipients of all those gorgeous christmas gifts!
Those are such lovely gifts!
I like the frixion pens for embroidery too.
Your block looks awesome!
And the little cutie in the Yoda hat is adorable!
Your Christmas gifts are so nice Jeanna. What size hoop do you use for the Pickle Pie designs? I'd love to try a small purse with zipper but I only have a 5x7 hoop.
You're stitching is coming along so nicely, Jeanna! I LOVE the Yoda hat and the photo is priceless! How nice of you to make so many wonderful gifts...you deserve to sink into your chair and chill!
Cheers!
Cute birds. You have been busy! I enjoyed seeing all of your projects. Especially that fun hat on the adorable baby!
That hat is so cute - makes me wish I still had a child young enough to wear it! I also like your birds a lot.
I love your birdie stitching and haven't used marking pens so appreciate the tip!
What a precious photo! Cute hat. Love the little birdie pieces.
