Sewcialites 2 – Finished

Hello and Happy Monday, Friends.

Sewcialites 2 is bound and labeled. This is quilt #5 of 9 that needed binding.

I had it quilted with leaves, which is perfect for this time of year.

The fabric in the quilt top is Cinnamon & Cream by Fig Tree & Co. The backing fabric is from Fig Tree’s All Hallow’s Eve line.

The binding fabric is a brown grunge from my stash.

Cheryll at GoneStitching hosted FNwF and I was happy to join. It was a little chilly so I crawled under the quilt to start the binding while watching Flosstube.

We are two days away from leaving for the cruise so I won’t have time to start another one.

Have a great week and I’ll see you soon.

Floss Friday – September Stats and Cross Stitch Progress

Happy Friday, Friends!

September was another light month for cross-stitch. I completed 3,122 stitches on four projects.

Finished Patriotic Heart

Started Wilding Hill Manor

Made some progress on American Sampler

I haven’t completed September’s assignment for this project, but I’m close. I should be able to put a lot of stitches in while we are on our next trip.

Also made progress on Memorial Day

I was going to skip the grass and flowers at the bottom, but it looks too plain without them. I’m also taking this one on our next trip.

Speaking of our next adventure, we are taking a 10-day cruise to New England and Canada. This was supposed to happen last year but then Hurricane Helene hit, and I didn’t want to leave my mom alone. So, we rescheduled it to this year.

In addition to American Sampler and Memorial Day, I’m thinking of taking some small Christmas projects to stitch. We will have three cruising days so I think I can get in some good stitching.

My weekend plans are to start binding the Sewcialites 2 quilt. I also need to start packing for the trip since we are leaving next Wednesday.

I'll be joining Cheryll at Gone Stitchin' for her Friday Night with Friends event. Hopefully, I'll have good quilty progress to share afterwards.

I hope your weekend is fabulous and filled with activities you enjoy.

Linking up with Alycia Quilts for Finished (or Not!) Friday!

See you soon,

Flea Market Quilt -- Finished

Flea Market Quilt designed by Lori Holt and published by Its Sew Emma is finally finished.

Regular followers may remember that I had attached the trim and binding to the front of the quilt, then realized I hadn’t enclosed the entire edge of the quilt inside the binding. If you missed it, and are interested, you can read about it in this post.

I took it all apart and it went into timeout because I was getting ready for travel. My goal for this past weekend was to trim the quilt and reattach the ric-rac and binding to the front. Once I got started, I couldn’t stop.

The trim was well worth the extra effort.

This completes quilt #4 of 9 that needs binding. Remember this post?

I’m thrilled with the way it turned out, and having this one finished, I’m motivated to bind the next one. That will be this weekend’s plan…after I start packing for another trip.

I want to tell you about a new YouTuber I found. Her name is Tracy Mooney and she posted her first video a few days ago. Her YT handle is Sew Supportive. She introduces herself, a bit of her background and her goals for her new channel. I'm looking forward to seeing her quilting and machine embroidery content. If you are interested, here is a link.

Hope to see you Friday for a cross-stitch update.
