Floss Friday – Cross Stitch Progress and Weekend Plans

Well Hello and Happy Friday, Friends!

Someone recently said to me that everyday is Friday for them. Sugar, I am so happy for anyone who doesn’t have to keep up with what day it is. I, for one, still work for a living and to support my crafting. So, Fridays are a big deal 😊

Today I am sharing my cross-stitch progress on Christmas at Hawk Run Hollow (now, don’t laugh!)…

And I’ve gotten a bit more done on A Honey of a Tiny Town…

I think cross-stitch is going to slow down just a bit…not too much…so I can make progress on some quilt projects. See previous post.

Memorial Day is this weekend in the United States. This means a three day weekend for those of us that work Monday through Friday. My plan is to work on binding quilts. I’ll start tonight but tomorrow we are planning to take a 6-mile hike at the Biltmore.

And I hope to do some plant shopping. These are the doors of the garden shop at the Biltmore.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.

Never forget…

Linking up with Alycia for Finished or Not Friday

See you soon,

  1. Just lovely patterns, Jeanna--I haven't commented as last Sunday I was hit with Covid and am still pretty much recuperating; a lot better after a horrendous bout the whole week. Be careful, it's still out there even if you've had all your shots like I did...
It'll be a while before I can get back to the concentration stitching takes...Hope your trip and weekend are the best;)))
    Hugs, Julierose

  2. Happy Friday. I am loving retirement. I sometimes "forget" what day it is too. Ha ha. But I say "everyday is Saturday except when I have appointments." I am aware of the holiday because the new garbage pickup service sent a message that they will be a day late due to the holiday.

  3. I like that Hawk Run pattern! We joke with each other about TGIF, because yes, everyday is Friday. The hike at the Biltmore sounds like so much fun, and plants too! Have a wonderful weekend.

  6. We retired folks should not give you hard workers a bad time, lol! You will get here one day, too. Love seeing what you're working on - I especially love the Tiny Town piece. Have a wonderful weekend! We are getting on a plane on Monday morning for a getaway to San Diego - a favorite city!

  11. Love those doors. Now that I don't work it is often confusing to work out what day it is - but I clearly remember Friday afternoon at 5PM was a huge sigh!
