Celebrating our nation’s birthday with another
small finish.
Bareroots Little Stitches - #144 Firecrackers
Candle Mat
I purchased the kit from The Village Mercantile
booth at our local quilt show in February last year, yes, 2014. This post is a recap of some of my purchases.
This project is very different for me as it is a bit prim and wool felt instead of cotton. I had a blast with these little beads. No…really, I did. I found stitching them on to be fun and
relaxing.
This finish allows me to check-off an item on my "To Do" list that was created here. I have other updates to my lists that I need to organize and share with you...another time.
To all of my friends here in the good ol'
United States of America
I wish you a happy and safe July 4th!!

A very happy 4th to you also, Jeanna. I like the little mat. It is interesting how sewing the beads down is actually enjoyable. I don't do it often but when I do, it is fun.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th. Don't you just love Red, White and Blue!

Wooly is good. GReat mat but you would have lost me at the beading, well done. Be Happy and Safe.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely candle mat! I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July, sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteCute little candle mat! Love the americana star garden ornament too! Happy 4th of July to you!
ReplyDeleteNice candle mat. Nice to know you could purchase a kit at a local show. The local shops don't seem very interested in selling wool.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Doesn't it feel good to check things off that never-ending list! Hope you had a lovely 4th of July! We did here and are enjoying a lazy and rainy Sunday. Have a wonderful week Jeanna!
