Squeaking in for a last minute post for Gail’s Stay At Home Round Robin.
Emily at The DarlingDogwood selected the Kite Block for round six.
Unfortunately, I was unable to come up with anything that would work for my wall hanging.
Rather than stress about it, I decided that I would skip this prompt and finish with what I have.
I regret that I wasn’t creative
enough to come up with something but I’ve decided that I will find a way to
place a Kite in the backing.
There is a possibility
that I could have come up with something if I had more time, but I’ve been so distracted lately by the floors.
The Witching Hour SAL ended over the weekend and I'll have a final post about it on Wednesday.
Hope to see you then.
Such pretty fabrics that you are using in your SAHRR, Jeanna. I bet you will come up with something snazzy for the kite block on the back . Your flooring looks amazing! Have a great week. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to incorporate the kites into my top. So far, I don’t have any good ideas. But I am determined to make it work
ReplyDeleteYour wood floors are stunning!! We have bamboo floors that might be original to the house (circa 1999). They are really showing their age. I love what you chose, it has lights and darks, and the finish is just perfect. I think a kite would reside just fine on the back of your SAHRR - it looks very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love your floors, you must be tickled pink, are they all done now? Did you do them throughout the house? Wood planks?
ReplyDeleteThe new floor looks great!!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteLook at that beautiful floor! No wonder you've been distracted from sewing. The great SAHRR qal is that you can make your quilt the way you want it! So finish it in the way that pleases you.
ReplyDeleteYour floors look great! I think the kite block is a tough one to fit around your quilt. I think using it in the backing is a wonderful compromise.
ReplyDeleteYour new floor looks amazing! Finishing where you are is going to be fine I am sure as you did not want anything large did you. Puting a kite on the back is a great idea. xx
ReplyDeleteYour SAHRR is so pretty as it is, without the kites. Great idea adding it to the back. OOOOH! Look at that pretty floor! Is it wood?
ReplyDeleteThose floors look awesome! I think it's totally fine to skip a round. It's your quilt!
ReplyDeleteThank you. We are finally settled back into that area of the house. I should finish my SAHRR quilt this weekend, in time for the parade (fingers crossed)!
