100th Blog Post and Giveaway

When I started my blog on June 6, 2013, the intent was to share progress on my craft projects - and maybe a little of my life - on a weekly basis.  Now that would mean today should be my 179th post.  I’m a little off from my original goal J

I’ve made so many new blog friends but it seems like we are more likely to post on Instagram or Facebook these days.  It’s like an instant post without much effort.  Honestly, I do not really post much on the Slammin’ the Screen Door Facebook page, I’m mostly on Instagram and I see so many of my favorite blog friends are there as well.

I am not quite ready to abandon the blog.  I do have hopes of reviving it along with my creative activity.  I have been in such a slump lately with regard to sewing or much of anything crafty.  I’m going to shake myself out of this slump because I have so many projects waiting to be completed.

And because it is somewhat of a miracle – that I have completed 100 blog posts – I will celebrate by offering a giveaway.  The prize?  How about a $25.00 gift certificate to the Fat Quarter Shop?

To enter, leave a comment on this post to let me know if you are a regular follower of my blog. And if so, let me know how you follow…  Google +, Bloglovin’, email or some other way.  Do you follow me on Instagram too?

The winner will be selected from comments that are received on this post only by Sunday, November 6th at 9:00 pm EST.
~~~~Don’t forget to change your clocks this weekend~~~~
I will use the online random number generator to select the winner sometime after 9 pm.
Now, just so you know that I haven’t been completely lazy, I want to share the latest block in my Building Blocks adventure.
This is block #5, a lesson on cables – and it is another one that I am going to re-do.  Why?  The block is so simple that I got complacent and knitted an entire 7 extra rows!  Now, the block in the photo is my 4th or 5th attempt.  I’m not kidding when I tell you that I got complacent.  There were times that I knitted when I was supposed to purl and vice versa.  It doesn’t help that I do this while watching sports too.
This is November 1st and I say it is as good a time as any to jump back into my projects.
Let’s see how it goes J
Congrats on 100 posts Jeanna! I am up to 910 posts, even though the past 3 months I haven't posted much. I hope to post more now, but I too have been in a sewing and knitting slump with all that has gone on lately with me. Hope you do continue to blog.
Congrats on your milestone! Your cable is beautiful. I didn't even notice the extra rows. I haven't been as consistent in my blog either and trying to change that. I follow you on IG and GFC.
I follow you through my blog roll and I know you follow me because you are so sweet and comment often. I know everyone is moving on from their blogs, but for me it is like my quilting scrapbook. I just found you on Instagram and will follow you there too. Thanks for the giveaway!
HI Jeanna! Congrats on 100 posts - that's a milestone to celebrate, for sure. You know I'm a regular follower, through bloglovin. Your cable square is lovely. Don't worry, we all experience occasional slumps, and loss of mojo. I think now that the weather here is turning colder, and my outdoor gardening chores are done, I'll be back to more regular blogging.
Congrats on 100! I follow through Bloglovin, but I actually have you on my blog roll and that's how I check to see the latest updates from all my favorites. :) Hope you are doing well and get out of your slump soon. I have been in a bit of a slump myself lately, but I am determined not to stay in it. Have a great week!
Hugs, Vicky
Congratulations on 100 posts, Jeanna! Definitely an accomplishment, although it's easy to get out of the habit with Instagram out there. But there are people who want to see what you're working on who aren't on IG!! I follow you on IG, and I thought I was a follower of your blog already, but since I'm not sure, I signed up to follow you by email! PS love those cables! They aren't easy, for sure!
thank you for continuing to blog. I love the blog community and highly value all of the friends I have made here. I don't Instagram. I find it too impersonal. I love knowing a little about a blogger and the project they are or have created. I love the interaction of receiving and replying via email.
I follow you via Blogger Dashboard and Bloglovin' just in case Blogger lets me down.
Have a great day.
xx, Carol
Congratulations on your 100th Post!
It's nice to see you are still working on your knitting blocks. Those cables are very pretty! I'm not on Instagram. I follow you thru my blog's sidebar feed and also thru Blogger Dashboard.
Great to see a post from you again!
It has been quite some time since I knitted anything and that was tiny hats for tiny, tiny babies at a hospital in Orlando. I probably have not done knitted cables in 30 years. But I do remember that it is hard to keep track of what you are doing while watching tv or day dreaming!
Congratulations, Jeanna. I hope to see the blog revived as you always share so many great things. I can't remember to check my IG daily. I follow with G+
Love your cable block. I chuckled at the 7 extra rows! That is something I would do.
Please don't quit blogging. I'm trying to do better. Congrats. on the 100th post and thanks for the giveaway. I follow with google friends connect. I don't knit or crochet but your block is lovely. I tried to knit dishrags at a class once, I have never been so frustrated. That is the only craft or form of art I just quit on. Not saying I have done everything well, but at least I would finish what I had started. Kudos to you.
Hugs and Blessings
LOL! Goals are just that, right? Something to strive towards, which, at 179 posts, you've done admirably well towards it! You'll notice in my header photo, I call my blog my "somewhere daily journal" -- and even that is a stretch! You have a pretty blog and I enjoy reading it! Congratulations on your milestone! :)
Congrats on your 100th blog post! I go hot and cold on blogging - I enjoy the sharing and fellowship, but the blogging process does take up precious quilting time. Glad to know you are on IG - sneaking peeks at IG helps me get through the work day!
I like reading your posts but I know it is a challenge. I would stress myself out if I started a blog.
