I'm Still Here...

….and I haven't been run over by a reindeer.  Oh, I guess it’s still a little too early for that.

I have been so busy with my day job, Christmas shopping, baking and getting ready for my Sailor to come home TOMORROW morning that I haven’t had time to take any photos or write a blog post.

I’ve just recently attempted to catch up on blog reading.  Since I was using my lunch hour at work for this, our firewall prevented me from commenting on some of your blogs.  So if you have wondered “Where is Jeanna?”, I’ve followed but was blocked from commenting.  I have to figure out why I was able to comment on some and not others.  (I’ll add that to my list for 2014)
Speaking of 2014…do you make New Year’s Resolutions?  Do you set secret goals?  For as long as I can remember my New Year’s Resolution was to NEVER make one because I felt it was a way to set myself up for failure.  Then for 2013 I set some ‘goals.’  Figuring it wouldn’t be so brutal if I didn’t meet them all.  (Please don't ask for a status report...)

My birthday was in November so I was treated to a combined birthday - Christmas gift…I’ll share about that after the holidays.  It’s a little overwhelming for me but fun at the same time…intrigued?

Before the holiday Slammin’ occurred I made a couple of other items to go with my ironing set that I posted about here.

 A tool Bag
A thread catcher / trash bag
The complete little set

Now I have all the tools I need to take classes...when I'm a little less overwhelmed with the new gift ;)

I'm hopeful things are going to slow down a bit for me soon and I'll have lots to share...the gift...our holidays...our vacation...my plans for 2014...not necessarily in that order.

Hope you are enjoying your Season ... with love,

Merry Christmas Jeanna. Nice gifts. I've been busy too and haven't blogged myself in a long time. Can't believe Christmas is just one week away.

What a cute and useful little tool kit and I love your fabric choice. I never make resolutions either for the very same reasons, I don't want to set myself up. Hope your Christmas is Merry and your New Year is Bright!

I don't make resolutions either, Jeanna. Setting myself up for failure is not my idea of fun!

You've done some great fun sewing there. Can't wait to see what your combined gift is!

Have a great Christmas! :o)

Hello Jeanna!
Thought it was time I sat down at the computer and did some visiting before Christmas. Merry Christmas to you!
I love your tool kit. Fun matterial too. :)
I do not make resolutions myself, but I do like to set a goal in the area of my spiritual walk with the Lord. I love to have a quiet New Years eve and reflect on the past year and allow the Lord to show me areas where I need to step up if need be.
I should always be growing closer to my Savior, so taking time to rteflect is good for me.

May your days slow down so you can enjoy the beauty of this time of year, the birth of our Savior.

Blessings to you!

Happy belated birthday! That fabric you used for your little tool kits is so fun. I am always pretty gentle with myself when it comes to resolutions. I always tell myself I will make an effort to plan my time a little better so there is more time for reading and sewing! But I take care of my little two year old grand daughter, so whatever time I spend with her is the most precious priority. Happy holidays to you and your family!

Not to worry, Jeanna - we've been without internet, TV and phone on and off (nostly off) for 2 days now. So nice to "see" you! How exciting that your Sailor is coming home! Happy Birthday! I wonder if you got a new sewing machine?!
Cheers!

Your projects are so pretty. Love the text print. I stopped making New Year's resolutions. A couple of years ago I started setting goals and not push myself to hard with too many. It's nice to not have a lot of stress about it and do my best.
Happy New Year!
